Paul and Rob playtested 13th Age in Glorantha last week and had a great time. Rob’s a big fan of the setting, and jumped at the chance to play a trickster. He decided to go all-in as a hapless idiot possessed of the fierce delusion that he is actually a powerful Humakti Death Lord. Our DM, Rob Heinsoo, said that “made me laugh so hard it hurt my chest.” Mission accomplished!

We’ll report more when we get the all-clear from the designers, but they’re still keeping hard info under wraps. We can say this: 13th Age in Glorantha marries rules to setting almost perfectly. It’s going to be great.

Rob Heinsoo’s new zombie is hilarious

Last Friday, Friend of the Hole and 13th Age designer Rob Heinsoo posted one of the funniest monster write-ups I’ve ever seen–and I read through quite a few old April Fools’ editions of Dragon back in the day. He calls them Coin Zombies, and dropping loot is an integral part of their attack routine. Even if you don’t know 13th Age rules, check it out just to see the method behind the madness.
